Steps to Obtain a Colorado DMV Pre-Registration code

1. Click "Apply for a Driver License or ID"
2. Click "Next"
3. Answer first question and enter Date of Birth and click "Next"
4. Select which document you are applying for and click "Next"
5. Enter information and click "Click to Verify Address", select the verified addressand click "Next"
6. Answer mailing address question and click "Next"
7. Answer Prior Out of State License question and click "Next"
8. Answer Emergency Contact question and click "Next"
9. Answer Demographic questions and click "Next"
10. Answer Citizenship status question and click "Next"
11. Select which document you will produce at the DMV to validate your Full Nameand click "Next"
12. Select which document you will produce at the DMV to validate your SocialSecurity Number from the drop-down menu and click "Next"
13. Select two different documents you will produce at the DMV to validate youraddress and click "Next"
14. This screen will show you the documents you have chosen to bring to the DMVto validate your information. Click "Next"
15. Select if you would like to recieve a reminder 45 days before your ID or Licenseexpires and click "Next"
16. Enter and re-enter your email address and click "Next"
17. REVIEW the information that was entered and Click "Submit" if everything iscorrect. If any information is not correct, Click "Previous" to get to the screenwith incorrect information.
18. Provide the Driving School the Confirmation Number or if you are going straightto the DMV, provide the Technician the Confirmation Number
